Isla Mary Morris

We're sorry about the delay in posting, both in general, and about Isla's birth. The holidays and being 9 months pregnant caused a good bit of distraction...oops.

Isla Mary Morris (pronounced Eye-lah) was born in the wee hours of the morning, at 4:07 a.m., on January 20, 2011. After several days of prodromal labor, she finally decided to make her appearance a week early, just like her big sister. Weighing in at a hefty 8lbs, 6oz, she's still a little peanut, and we are enjoying her very much. So far, she seems pretty mellow, and is sleeping and eating well, going through many diapers a day, and is a wonderful snuggler. Maeve (so far) adores her, and loves to give her hugs and kisses, calls her "my baby", and wonders where she is when out of sight.

Our Christmas was wonderful and busy, with Grandma and Grandpa (Bop), Nana, and Uncle Jason in town. Maeve received many wonderful gifts. She's growing up so fast, it amazes us. She's doing great with her potty training, talking up a storm, and continues to have this delightfully friendly and engaging personality, while also being extremely willful and stubborn. She cracks us up everyday with the things she says and the faces she makes.

We're starting to get the hang of parenting two children and are very tired, but very happy, and looking forward to watching these two girls grow up.

Jen, You have a beautiful family. So glad everyone is happy and healthy. I can't imagine you having an 8lb 6oz baby! Nothing better than having 2 little girls to dress-up! Parenting 2 kids is a nonstop juggling act, but is amazing to watch them bond. Violet goes to Kindergarten in the fall so that is my next exciting adventure in being a Mom. A child in the public school system.

Congrats!
